Subjects We Teach
Every pupil follows an individualised learning plan. These are the subjects we currently offer, each delivered 1:1 or in small groups by qualified, subject-specialist tutors.
English Language and Literature alongside Functional Skills English — reading, writing, speaking and listening, with a focus on building confidence and communication.
GCSE · Functional Skills Entry Level 1–Level 2
From foundational number fluency to higher-tier algebra, geometry, and statistics — alongside Functional Skills Maths, tailored to each pupil's starting point and target grade.
GCSE · Functional Skills Entry Level 1–Level 2
Combined Science (Trilogy) and separate sciences — Biology, Chemistry, and Physics delivered through accessible, practical-led sessions.
GCSE Combined · Triple Science
Fine art, mixed media, and expressive projects that give young people a creative outlet — often the subject where reluctant learners re-engage first.
GCSE Art & Design
Enterprise, marketing, finance, and business operations — a practical, real-world subject that builds commercial awareness and analytical thinking.
GCSE Business Studies
Emotional literacy, healthy relationships, online safety, financial awareness, independent living, and preparation for adulthood.
PSHE Association aligned
We prepare pupils for GCSE and Functional Skills examinations. We work with the commissioning school to arrange exam entries — the school typically acts as the exam centre and holds exam registration. For pupils unable to access full GCSEs, we offer Functional Skills (Entry Level through Level 2) and unit awards as alternative accreditation pathways. We can also support schools with exam access arrangements where appropriate.
Don't see the subject you need? We are continually expanding our provision — contact us to discuss your requirements and we will do our best to accommodate.

Their safe space
Always open, always calm, always theirs
The Sensory Space
At the heart of our provision is a dedicated sensory space — a purpose-converted garden outbuilding, nestled in a private garden, where children know they can come to get support, regulate their emotions, and simply be.
For many of the young people we work with, mainstream classrooms are overwhelming. The sensory space is the opposite: a calm, predictable, welcoming environment that is unconditionally theirs.
Children know this room is theirs. They can come here when they feel overwhelmed, anxious, or simply need a moment — no questions asked, no permission needed.
Soft, adjustable lighting, muted natural tones, comfortable seating, weighted blankets, fidget tools, and calming sensory resources — engineered to reduce overstimulation.
The sensory space isn't a scheduled activity — it's a constant. A pupil can step in at any point during their time with us to regulate and reset.
A trauma-informed mentor is always nearby — ready to co-regulate, listen, or simply sit alongside in quiet companionship until the young person is ready to continue.
We welcome commissioners and parents to visit the sensory space and feel the difference for themselves. Arrange a visit today.

Our SEMH mentors work 1:1 with young people — including those with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, PDA profiles, and emotionally-based school avoidance (EBSA) — on emotional literacy, de-escalation strategies, anxiety management, and social skills. Sessions are pupil-led and strengths-based, drawing on trauma-informed practice, attachment-aware principles, and neurodiversity-affirming approaches. Mentors coordinate closely with the commissioning school's pastoral team and, where appropriate, with external agencies.

Commissioning Process
A clear, transparent pathway that gives commissioners confidence at every step. The commissioning school retains full safeguarding and registration responsibility throughout.
A school SENCO, pastoral lead, or local authority commissioner contacts us via the Clarity Portal or directly. We acknowledge every enquiry within one working day.
We meet with the commissioning school — usually the SENCO or pastoral lead — to understand the young person's needs, EHCP outcomes, barriers, and goals.
We review the pupil's EHCP, pastoral records, risk assessments, and any relevant multi-agency information to build a complete picture before any placement begins.
We design an individualised provision plan — specifying services, session frequency, delivery setting, staffing ratio, academic targets, and SEMH outcomes.
A service-level agreement is issued detailing hours, cost, safeguarding responsibilities, reporting frequency, and review dates. The commissioning school retains dual registration and full safeguarding oversight.
We meet the pupil, introduce them to their tutor or mentor, and begin with a relationship-building session. No academic pressure until trust is established.
Weekly progress notes, termly progress reports, and scheduled review meetings with the commissioning school. We adjust the provision plan as needs evolve.
