Our Story
Education that meets young people where they are
Founded by experienced SEND educators and financial operational leaders, T Toddles Ltd was established to provide tailored educational pathways for young people who thrive outside of traditional mainstream classrooms — including those with ASC, ADHD, EBSA, SEMH needs, and a range of learning differences.
Our team combines specialist SEND teaching, data and financial analysis, and operational governance expertise with deep empathy. We believe that every young person deserves an individualised education that equips them with formal qualifications, key life skills, and emotional resilience.

Our Approach
Six principles that shape every session
We don't replicate mainstream school in a smaller room. We rebuild the conditions for learning from the ground up — starting with safety, relationship, and trust.
Trauma-Informed Practice
Every interaction begins with the question "What happened to you?" — never "What is wrong with you?" Our staff are trained to recognise triggers, co-regulate distress, and create the psychological safety that learning requires.
Relationship-First
Before any academic target is set, we invest in building genuine, trusting relationships. A young person who feels genuinely seen and safe will re-engage with learning on their own terms.
Calm by Design
From our purpose-built Safe Space garden room to our muted, natural-tone materials, every environment is engineered to reduce sensory load and support emotional regulation — particularly for autistic pupils and those with ADHD or sensory processing differences.
Individualised Pathways
No two young people follow the same route. Each provision plan is built around the pupil's interests, strengths, barriers, and EHCP outcomes — not a one-size-fits-all timetable.
Uncompromising Safeguarding
KCSIE 2026-aligned, Level 3 DSL-led, with same-day absence notification and integrated CPOMS reporting. Commissioners retain full oversight of every placement.
Holistic Development
Academic progress and emotional wellbeing are given equal weight. PSHE, life skills, and emotional literacy are woven through every session — not bolted on as an afterthought.
Who We Help
Young people who need a different path
We work with Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils across Nottinghamshire and the wider East Midlands whose needs are not being met by mainstream education alone — commissioned by schools, academy trusts, and local authorities.
KS3 & KS4 Pupils at Risk of Exclusion
Young people in Years 9–11 whose behaviour or attendance has placed them at risk of permanent exclusion, and who need a fresh start in a smaller, more nurturing setting.
SEMH Needs
Pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs — including anxiety, depression, trauma responses, attachment difficulties, and emotionally-based school avoidance (EBSA) — who find mainstream classrooms overwhelming.
Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
Autistic young people, including those with PDA (Pathological Demand Avoidance) profiles, who benefit from low-arousal, predictable environments and communication-aware, neurodiversity-affirming practice.
ADHD & Attention Differences
Pupils with ADHD and related attention differences who need movement breaks, shorter focused sessions, and hands-on, multi-sensory delivery to stay engaged and regulated.
SEND — EHCP & SEN Support
Young people with ASC, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Tourette's Syndrome, MLD, SLD, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) whose EHCP outcomes can be met through our bespoke 1:1 and small-group provision.
Looked-After Children
Children in care who have experienced disruption, trauma, or multiple placement changes and need consistency, stability, and a trauma-informed approach.
Medical Needs & Hospital Transitions
Pupils recovering from physical or mental health challenges who need a flexible, part-time reintegration pathway back into education.
What we are not
T Toddles Ltd is a DfE-unregistered alternative provision. We deliver part-time provision only — strictly under 18 hours per pupil per week — and do not provide full-time education. We are not a Pupil Referral Unit, an independent school, or a replacement for a child's mainstream placement. We are a specialist, complementary provision that works in partnership with the commissioning school, which retains full safeguarding and registration responsibility.
About Us
Specialist alternative provision built around each young person — not the other way round.
